We left Brisbane early Friday afternoon and started working our way through the we-got-an-early-mark-so-lets-go-to-the-beach commuters. Tired of fighting the traffic we excitedly turned off the M1 and began admiring our way through the Byron hinterland towards Lismore.
After gawking at the scenery and yelling at cows we pulled up to the Lismore Art Space, also known as Work-Shop Northern Rivers.
Run by the inimitable Joanna Kambourian, our gracious new host of Work-Shop Northern Rivers, who welcomed us all to the opening night.
A recently renovated two story warehouse space, Lismore Art Space has been custom designed with artists & creative industries in mind. Large light filled areas, communal spaces, outdoor work areas and gardens with dedicated printmaking studios. Renovated and set up by local photographer, Ted Harvey, LAS is a large art space with five separate studios, garden and communal areas in which to work.
