Sydney based Visual Artist, Oodlies (Joi Murugavell), will be having a solo exhibition in The Makery window from the 20th (Launch 11am) to the 26th August.

Her Makery exhibition prods and investigates the trials and tribulations of finding yourself, after being lost.

It is a continuation of her from-the-soul art. It is often frantic and always beautiful. Now at The Makery you will have a chance to see her process up-close and personal.

For a whole week before the exhibition, she’ll take up residence in the window facing Oxford St, Darlinghurst. Drawing and writing, forming a mural around the pieces as a meditation with the work.

In the words of Oodlies herself, “I’m getting off my ass a little more to talk about my work. Words in combination with art is a nice shortcut to decluttering our already noisy world with frustratingly immense choices”.
