1) Tell us a little bit about your label (art) and what you do?

Lime Tree Bower is a creative studio, created by Helen Hung, specialising in floral styling for events, weddings and spaces. We also design and create a limited range of products featuring flora, such as flower crowns, terrariums and more!

2) What inspires your work?

Wildflowers, 19th century floral romanticism and wanderlust.

3) What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

Software product manager.

4) What memorable responses have you had to your work?

When people you least expect that would pay any attention to your work, comes and gushes to you in a direct message on social media or in person about how much they love it… wow, those moments are the most humbling and motivational.

The Internet!

6) What gets you up in the morning? 

Believe it or not, but early mornings at the Sydney Flower Markets.

7) How would your best friend describe you in 3 words?

Creative, curious, loyal.

8) What is the next skill you want to learn?

How to make candles or soap!

Styling Taylor Swift’s birthday bash – seriously, how awesome and fun would that be?

10) Favourite or most inspirational place in Sydney?

Any botanic garden… or early morning at the beach catching the sunrise.

11) What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given? 

The things you’re scared of are usually the most worthwhile.

12) What advice would you give to new, aspiring Makers? 

There is always ‘someday’, so if you have an idea, just go for it and worry about all the things when you get to them. Things can always be figured out, so don’t let the fear of being not prepared or not good enough stop you from starting. The start of something new is always the hardest step.

13) And most importantly, what would your ultimate karaoke song be?
