What is tantra? This ancient Eastern spiritual practice is almost impossible to define, but often described as a way of life that can lead to personal transformation and enlightenment. Surrounding us are opportunities to connect deeply and authentically with ourselves and the universe through meditation, sexuality and communication. If you find you’re distracted during intimacy, or want to augment your ability to give and receive amazing pleasure, tantra provides a broad avenue to experiment and explore.
Teacher Caitlyn Cook explains it best: “It’s really about unlearning the unhelpful things that keep you contained, and connecting with your authenticity, not operating on ‘should’ principles. It’s about becoming more yourself – and letting go of what’s not you – in your body, bedroom, and life.”
This workshop is a super accessible introduction to demystifying tantra and bringing mindfulness to sexuality. We’ll explore what tantra means, how Caitlyn discovered and harnessed the practice, and perform simple (clothes on, PG-rated) touch meditation. This workshop is appropriate for singles, couples, and people of all orientations and genders. You’ll only do the stuff you want to do—you’re in your personal sovereignty 100% of the time. The class is fully clothed and, while it relates to sexuality, it involves non-sexual interaction.
