This class will introduce you to the basics of traditional Japanese woodblock printmaking by hand. Variations of this style have existed since the eighth century. By the end of the class you will have produced a unique edition of prints while learning the printmaking process from start to finish.

This class will cover: how to carve a woodblock, inking techniques such as colour block/gradation/transparency, how to print by hand, how to register your prints and how to edition them.

Master this accessible technique and take your new knowledge home with you, it is non-toxic and does not require expensive equipment- perfect for home!
