Safety first! We’ll begin by ensuring you’re well-equipped and informed about pyrography tools and techniques. Learn the ropes, from tool types to various tips and attachments, through a detailed demonstration.
Next, we’ll sketch our designs and transfer them onto our pieces. Hopeless at drawing? We recommend printing out some images that you might like to burn into your pieces. In this workshop you can either bring some wooden homewares along or grab a set of six coasters at checkout for a personalised touch.
With your design transferred onto wood, you’ll dive into the heart of pyrography. Experiment, play, and discover the art of engraving with heat under the guidance of our expert instructor.

what to bring
- Wooden homewares to decorate. There is no limit to how many pieces or how large your item can be as long as you can easily carry your piece (no large furniture items!).
- Please make sure that your pieces are solid timber and not an imitation or plastic.
- A set of 6 wooden coasters can be purchased at checkout for $25 per person.
- Some ideas on designs and illustrations you may want to apply. Printing designs, text, or images that you might like to draw is highly recommended for those who are not confident at drawing.
