Work-Shop Makery is dubbing June ‘Upcycling Month.’
We have a series of workshops in store throughout the month, culminating in an art exhibition, all on the theme of upcycling.
If you are keen to participate – read on! Otherwise, come party with us on Opening Night, 25 June.
UPCYCLE: A Community Art Exhibition
25 June – 12 July 2015
Opening Night: Thursday 25 June 6 – 9PM
Applications are now open to submit a work made from upcycled materials.
Upcycling is all about the process of repurposing waste materials or unwanted objects and creating something new – where the outcome produces a work of greater value or is more aesthetically interesting than its original form.
What we love about Upcycling is that it is a wonderfully creative and inspiring practice but is also
environmentally friendly, inclusive and cost effective! So we are calling on you to get involved and join us in this fun, community event! All are welcome to exhibit a piece.
Size Requirements: A4 / 30cm cubed.
What?!: Anything your imagination can concoct and create from unwanted materials.
Incentive!: People’s Choice Prize
We will award a $50 gift voucher to spend at the Work-Shop Makery for the most loved exhibited work.
Party!: We are going to have a little party in store too on Opening Night – 25th June! So invite your friends! And follow us to the After Party at Darlie Laundromatic – 304 Palmer Street, Darlinghurst.
Keen? Please contact kylie@work-shop.com.au to be sent an Agreement and Application Form which details all the info for submitting a work.
