Sydney, rejoice!  We’re bringing you a tattoo artist at the height of his game, to teach you all you need to know about tattoo illustration.

Renowned artist Aidan Mckenzie aka Sprinkles will guide you through different genres of tattoo illustration, teaching you the tricks of the trade for anyone wanting to improve their drawing or just interested in tattoo art. We’ll start with a brief history of 1940s to current traditional tattooists and how traditional American tattooing has created an extremely popular commercial art form before getting straight into it! You’ll get an introduction of the basics of tattoo illustration, design and techniques, as well as an understanding on how to achieve correct flow and balance within the illustration to work with various parts of the body. We’ll cover popular elements of traditional tattooing such as scriptwriting, banners, flowers, tigers & panther heads, girls, wings, snakes and skulls before moving onto personalising your own illustration. Guided through the process from start to finish, Aidan will be there every step of the way while you nail the different stages from transferring a sketch to tracing paper, illustration paper to the final copy.
