Spenceroni Digital Pattern Design

Back by popular demand – Spenceroni returns to Work-Shop to show you how to create unique digital repeat patterns which can be used to make your own textiles, in your design projects, on your website or just to pimp your Facebook profile!

In this workshop you will learn from start to finish how to create unique digital repeat patterns using hand made elements as a starting point. We will start out experimenting with ink, paint, pens and paper, creating a variety of marks to use in patterns. We will then scan and digitize these elements and learn how to put together repeat patterns in Adobe Illustrator. You’ll learns some tips on what makes a good pattern, how to quickly explore colour palettes and finally how to utilize these patterns in your projects.

You’ll leave with some rad patterns you can start to use as well as a PDF with all the instructions to refer to at home and resources for how to turn your patterns into real objects!

Please note –  Some basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is recommended for this workshop.
