Get ready to suds up and explore soap making in this hands-on soap-making workshop. Learn about the chemistry and history of soap, and gain a deeper understanding of what soap truly is. We’ll introduce you to essential soap-making terms and their meanings, as well as teach you about soap making safety and how to reduce hazards.

You’ll have the opportunity to create your very own cold process Castille (pure olive oil) soap, perfect for sensitive skin, facial cleansing, body wash, shaving, and household cleaning. We’ll show you pouring techniques, including how to create a unique swirl pattern with natural colorants, and guide you through scenting your soaps using essential oils.

You’ll also learn clever formulating tricks to reduce soap scum and build a fluffier lather. Finally, we’ll cover curing and storage, so you can get the most out of your soaps. Join us for a bubbly, hands-on experience that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the science of soap making.

*Please note that your soaps will need to cure for one week at our venue before they are ready for collection. Furthermore, you will need to wait at least 4 weeks to use what you make in class (as with all cold process soap), but it will totally be worth it when you use that first slice!
