Since its inception as a way to “sidewalk surf” when the swell was flat in the ‘40s through to its huge popularity in the ‘90s, skateboarding continues to garner disciples in droves. You can even catch it for the first time at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Picking up a skateboard gives you instant street cred: it’s undeniably cool. Join 11 million active shredheads worldwide in this beginner’s class for all ages, and you’ll be carving and grinding before you know it.

Our teacher Jayden will first cover best practices for skating safely, gear and board construction, and sweet skate lingo. He’ll then venture into the practicals of getting on and off the board, and how to stand, balance, and push. Then comes the fun part: basic tricks, turning and tick-tacking. We’ll finish up with a freestyle session where you can channel your inner Tony Hawk and ask Jayden any gnarly questions. Hesh to death.
