In this fun workshop to be held these school holidays at Work-Shop Makery, Mindy would like to teach your child aged 10 and up how to sew.
We will cover basic hand and machine stitches and sewing safety, plus how to correctly pin and cut projects.
We plan to turn some of the initial samplers into greeting cards.
After lunch, we shall start a PROJECT.
The students can choose either a plushie toy or a cushion to make. These will be embellished using our new hand sewing skills to sew on buttons, beads, eyes, ribbons, trims, sequins or drawn with fabric markers.
Mindy will be very happy to guide and inspire each child’s own ideas, or they can use the templates and sample ideas provided.
If you would like to book your child into 2 or more of these classes, we can offer a discount. New projects and activities can be worked on in each class. Please email matt@work-shop.com.au for multi-class discount.
