In this engaging presentation, through great demonstration you will get a detailed overview of traditional pickling aka lacto fermentation! Lacto-fermentation is the process that produces traditional dill pickles, kimchi and real sauerkraut, among other fermented delights! Learn the basics of how to ferment foods and how important they are in achieving a healthy diet and a strong immune system!
There will also be Green Living Australia equipment available for sale on the night (preserving kits, pickling supplies and equipment, plus copies of Valerie’s Book ‘Sugar Free Home Preserving’)
Please keep in mind this is a demonstration based session. Students will not be pickling during this session, students will be given all the knowledge, and access to equipment to start pickling and lacto-fermenting at home.
