Modern Calligraphy: Chrissy Edition

This workshop will bring you through the basics of modern flexible nib dip pen calligraphy and finish with applying your newfound skill to a Christmas-themed project.

We’ll start with an introduction to the tools and how to use them, including assembling the calligraphy pen, using inks and understanding flow and pressure. We’ll then move onto how to make basic shapes and strokes, and finally to creating letter forms using my sample modern calligraphy alphabet as a guide.

As a festive twist, we will end the workshop learning how to write some holiday phrases for some Christmas cards and tags. After the workshop, you should feel more confident in your modern calligraphy technique and ready to use your newfound skill for the Christmas season!

There is nothing you need to bring. The class includes our essential kit of calligraphy materials to use in class and take away with you.
