In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the skills of Linocut printmaking, and print your very own hand-cut works on paper. Once learned, this versatile and accessible technique can be applied to the creation of artistā€™s books, textile design, poster design and limited edition prints.

This class will cover carving out your image from a Silk Cut plate, line work and cutting techniques, safety, correct inking of a plate and hand printing. You will also be advised on how to hand colour your prints and introduce textures into your work.

You will take home a striking set of your own prints, your lino plate, full instructions and resource pdfs so you have the ability to print at home using this technique!
