In this popular Learn to Sew Workshop you will learn to repurpose a pre loved or recycled pair of jeans and walk out with your own handmade denim apron.

Skills learned will be designing and cutting down to the new shape and considering how to best repurpose the old waistband &/or pockets.

You will learn to double top stitch out features and edges whilst learning what sort of needles are required for sewing thicker materials.

You will use studs &/or eyelets to anchor the very thick corners, and can possibly upcycle a pre loved belt to be the neck strap or use leftover denim.

Suitable for beginners or those needing a refresher or wanting to learn a li’l something extra..

Held in the creative surroundings of The Makery in Darlinghurst with class sizes limited to no more than 6 people.

what to bring

Bring a pair of pre loved jeans, the bigger the better.

If possible a pre loved belt with the stud holes in good condition.

Large size jeans are cheap as at Vinnies, Salvos etc..

We can provide for you if needs be, just choose the appropriate ticket.
