The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences is presenting the Sydney Science Festival and are co-ordinating a Maker Open House Day on Sunday August 20th.   Diverse maker spaces and groups will be opening their doors to the public. We are offering a 2 for 1 special for our Learn to Sew classes on the day… sew get in quick as spaces are limited!

Brighten up your bed or sofa with a hand made 4 patch cushion. Mindy will guide you step by step in this class to make your own perfect cushion. Whether you are a complete beginner, or need a brush up on your sewing skills this workshop is for you.

What you'll get

We will cover basic hand and machine stitches and sewing safety, plus how to correctly pin and cut projects.

We will also cover how to turn sharp corners and insert a lapped zip at the back of your cushion.

what to bring

All will be provided to make your cushion, although you may bring your own fabric.

You can also bring your own machine if you like or just use one of ours.
