During this workshop I will teach you how to launch your own small creative business over six detailed modules, and share tips and tricks as to how you can keep up the momentum after you launch.

Module 1: Branding

First impressions last, so the branding for your new small business has to stand out. Thankfully you don’t need a lot of money to do this. In this first module, we’ll look at branding and how you can design a logo, select your brand colours, create your brand identity depending on your budget. I’ll also reveal unique ways you can share your brand story and stay on track with your brand values as your business grows.

Module 2: Money

Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to managing the money in your business. It’s time to tackle the money side head on and with confidence. In this module we will take a look at money and how you can ensure you’re budgeting and tracking cash flow with the purpose of growing your business, as well as pricing your products and services properly.

Module 3: Marketing

Marketing never stops. In this module I discuss all things marketing. It’s about creating simple yet consistent content, and cross promoting that content on your various marketing channels. We’ll dive deep into how to plan content and market your new business, with a strong focus on how social media, newsletters and blog content can generate more customers and clients for your business.

Module 4: Customer Experience

Your customers can make or break your business, so I am going to share the tools you need to ensure they are having a seamless experience. I’ll also share my tips and advice for ensuring your product and website photography is both strategic and of a high quality. We’ll also look at packaging, the unboxing experience and your website usability. It’s important your customer experience is a true reflection of your brand values, and this is where we show you how to keep, and maintain, loyal customers.

Module 5: Launch Tools

Launching a new business is so exciting! But what many creatives fail to consider is that the pre-launch phase can take months and months of planning. In this module, we move to the pointy end of launching your creative business and show you how you can create a launch timeline, a launch strategy as well as content that see’s you through all the phases of launching – pre-launch, launch and post-launch.

Module 6: Ongoing

You’ve launched, you’re selling products and services, you are creating consistent marketing content – what next? In this module I will take a look at the most important aspect of launching, the months after following your bug launch. I will show you ways you can keep the momentum going. This includes sharing your social proof, organising collaborations with likeminded brands and influencers, and working with business coaches and mentors, and upskilling. Just because you have launched your business, doesn’t mean you can take a break. The real work comes into play after you launch and it never stops!

who this workshop IS for

This workshop is for people who have an idea and want to launch a small creative business, but don’t know how or where to get started. Students will walk away from this workshop feeling armed, inspired, motivated and ready to launch their small creative business using the strategies, tips and advice given in this two-hour workshop, which they can implement straight away.

This workshop may also be for people who have had their small creative business for no longer than two years, and are looking for ways to refresh their branding, how they can manage the money a little bit better, ways they can improve their marketing and content creation, how they can make their customer experience more seamless, as well as motivation and inspiration to keep pushing ahead.
