Intro to Mosaic Art

In this 3 hour class you will learn the techniques of this ancient craft. You will learn and practice cutting tiles/glass as well as various techniques for laying the tiles (tesserae). Using a planter as your template you will be guided to create your own piece of mosaic art. While we won’t have quite enough time to grout the piece you will be given easy to follow instructions to complete it at home.

The class is suitable for beginners. If you don’t finish the piece during the class you will have the skills to so confidently in your own home. Learn how to mosaic and you will undertake a form of therapy. I guarantee once you start mosaicking you may not stop!
