Welcome to the wonderful world of felting & fiber sculpture. This traditional technique has been used for centuries and can be applied to a wide range of products, such as clothing, accessories, home decor, and sculpture.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll immerse yourself in a fun and interactive way to learn the basics of needle felting to create your own unique anatomical heart sculpture. Felting is a process of matting, condensing, and pressing fibers together, to create a dense and durable material. It’s also extremely meditative and a satisfyingly stabby process.

We’ll start with an introduction to the materials and techniques used in needle felting, including the types of wool and tools needed. We’ll then jump straight into stabbing & crafting our pieces, learning how to shape and mold the wool fibers into the basic form of a heart.

Next, we’ll cover different techniques for adding details and texture to your pieces. We’ll also cover the use of other materials such as wire and fabric to add more dimension & shape to sculptures.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance from our wonderful facilitator Liana with plenty of time to work on your hearts and share ideas with classmates.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your completed anatomically accurate heart to take home and proudly display. This workshop would be a great way for participants to learn a new skill while also creating a fun and unique craft project.
