How to Die & Other Aspects of Being an Artist

I am a singer/songwriter/producer who has been making records for over two decades. In that time I have been in a continual process of reinvention – this means continually letting go of belief systems, goals, ways of being. The occult terms for this process is “Mystical Death”. I believe this is a key concept for us to understand in order to reach our creative potential.

In addition to my musical endeavors I developed a passion for working with the dying, and became a certified “Death Midwife” and hospice volunteer. As I studied the techniques and began to practice what it means to help someone let go, the concepts of “Mystical Death” became further crystallized for me.

During the course of this evening we will explore what it really means “to die”, and how we cannot truly begin to be an artist until we honestly grapple with our own mortality.
