Ceramics fever is sweeping Melbourne, and you too can get potty with this beginner workshop taught by Laureen Lansdown from Lavallier Emporium.
Cement the basics of ceramic-making in your mind. Laureen will explain the fundamentals of hand building, pinch potting and slab construction, as well as outlining various decoration techniques. With Laureen’s guidance, you’ll create 2-3 custom planters, either hanging or freestanding, as homes for your plant babies.
At the end of the workshop, your creations will be taken for firing in Laureen’s kiln, and will be ready for collection from Work-Shop in 2-3 weeks (or as advised). Fire up your hands and brain in this vitrifying class; in no time at all, you’ll be kiln it.
