Have you ever wondered how to dye your clothes using just flowers and leaves? How to use eucalypts to create rich earthy tones and textures? In this playfully inspiring two hour workshop, you’ll learn how to use use flowers, native fauna from your neighbourhood, healing herbs, and food scraps from your kitchen to Naturally Dye fabric.

Both accessible and sustainable, this introduction to natural dyeing will show you all the basics you need to know so that you can continue to hone your craft at home. Never let another onion peel or droopy flower go to waste!

You will be given a beautiful pure silk scarf to dye for your final product and to take home!

With time allowing we will also Eco Dye one of your own t-shirt, pillowcase or a singlet from home. (Please bring natural fabrics only and pre-washed please).

Please note: This is a child friendly event from 8 years old+ please.


What you'll get

  • A selection of leaves, flowers, herbs and food to make your dyes
  • All the raw materials and a Pure Silk Scarf 28 x 180cm will be provided to decorate in all natural delightful colours, unbleached cotton for hammering flower patterns plus digital notes and support.

  • Any additional foraged materials you’d like to experiment with
  • A t-shirt or singlet in case you’re a quick learner and want to try another piece! Natural and pre-washed fabrics only; cotton, hemp or linen
