Ever been curious about how to get natural colours from flowers, herbs and food to create coloured dyes onto fabric?
Join Jo from Inside Jo. B to discover how to use natural foraged flowers, leaves from your neighbourhood, healing herbs, and food scraps from your household to create gorgeous eco-friendly fabric dye. A playfully inspiring two and half hour workshop where we’ll explore natural dyeing basics, you’ll learn how to create bundled eco dye to create eco print patterns on raw cotton. Think dreamy natural colours, pinks, purples, yellows and golden browns the results are endless… be ready for fun, messy play!
All materials and a pure silk scarf (45 x 160cm) will be provided to decorate in all-natural delightful colours. We’ll also have plenty of unbleached cotton to dye and print and digital notes, as well as online support available after with Facebook group to share results and ask questions to other natural dyes. We do ask that you also bring along an old t-shirt or pillowcase to dye (natural fabrics only, pre-washed and less than half a meter). Feel free to bring your own local foraged materials, from your garden and neighbourhood to mark the silk and cotton fabrics!
