Street art is bold, fast, and all about making your mark. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to design, cut, and paint your own stencils; the foundation of some of the most iconic street art styles.
Guided by a practicing street artist, Jess Kease (aka 23rd Key), you’ll start with the design process: how to take a photo or image and digitise it into a stencil using image editing software, in this case, Photoshop. From there, you’ll learn how to print, cut, and prepare your stencil, with tips on keeping your lines clean and your design sharp. Finally, you’ll explore how to paint with your stencil, using printout examples provided to get you started.
By the end, you’ll walk away with your own hand-cut stencil and the know-how to create striking designs you can use again and again.
