Learn to crochet hangers for bottles, tin cans, jars and more in our level two crochet class! This class requires a little prior crochet knowledge, including Chain Stitch, Slip Stitch, Single and/or Double Crochet Stitch. If you have tried these stitches, or have attended our Beginners Class you will have the skills!

What you'll get

– Free step by step printed pattern for you to use in class and take home
– 4.5mm Crochet hook (you can also bring your own)
– A selection of 8ply yarns (again, you can bring your own, must be 8ply)

what to bring

A tin can, jar, glass bottle, cup or other cylindrical vessel with a diameter between 4-10cm (or there-abouts)

About Laura Taylor

Laura is a knitting and crochet enthusiast with a passion for design and colour. She completed her Honours in Fine Art at COFA, majoring in painting, however spends most of her time tangled in yarn these days! She learned to crochet as a kid, but didn’t really get into it until about 3 years ago, and she now makes crochet and knitting patterns.

While she loves knitting, crochet is her favourite to teach, as she sees it as more of a misunderstood and underrated skill. You can create all the beautiful things that can be knitted with crochet, like sweaters, beanies, mittens, scarves and toys, as well as the more traditional crochet designs, like ‘granny square’ blankets, ponchos and circular designs. Laura hopes that by teaching new students, they can pass these skills onto their children and grandchildren, so that these skills are not lost!

She’s also in the process of starting up an online store and blog called ‘School of Hard Knots’, selling crochet and knitting patterns in pdf format, as well as online tutorials and tips. Website coming soon at schoolofhardknots.com.au
