This class is taught by Casey Schuurman, an emerging Typographer and Lettering artist and recent graduate of Melbourne’s Old School New School for Design and Typography Program in Type Design and Hand Lettering.

Brush Script is a technique developed in the American advertising industry during the 20th century. It’s sophisticated, expressive and allows you to personalise your own typographic projects with some handcrafted flair.

This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of Brush Script – grasping the basic strokes used for developing beautifully balanced letterforms. You’ll walk away with an improved knowledge of applying hand-lettering skills which can be used for a range of other lettering and design projects!
