Book-Binding Masterclass

In this class students will explore 3 different types of books and learn methods applicable to both eastern and western bookbinding. Participants will be introduced to terms used in bookbinding, such as how to dissect a book, understanding paper grain, plus tools and where to source materials from.

Once we have gone through the nitty gritty of bookbinding students will learn how to make 3 mini ( A6 size) books using various techniques including Longstitch, Daisy Chain Stitch and Traditional Japanese Stab Binding.
