If you’re a green fiend, it’s time to broaden your plant family with the latest vegetation craze, the staghorn fern. Graham of botanical design studio Tweed Twigs will teach you how to mount these epiphytes on a taxidermy-style wood base. For beginners and foliage aficionados alike, this workshop will cover tips on plant selection, proper mounting techniques, picking the right piece of wood and, most importantly, maintenance beyond creation. Graham will explain taxidermy and vertical mounting, and you’ll leave the class with a mounted Staghorn fern and an epiphytic fern to adorn your walls.

All supplies and materials will be provided for the class, but if you have a specific piece of wood you’d like to use, please bring it along. Please also let us know if you have an allergy to potting mix. Grasp the power to greenify your home from floor to ceiling and cultivate a piece of living art.
