Shibori Tie Dyeing

Shibori, also known as Japanese tie-dye, is a traditional style of fabric dying using folding and tying techniques to create beautiful, delicate patterns.

In this fun and hands-on class with Annabel Hume, you will learn everything you need to know to start hand dyeing like a pro! This includes learning the basics of creating an indigo dye-bath using pre-reduced indigo crystals, and traditional Shibori techniques to create unique patterns and designs on cloth. Participants will be provided with large pieces of fabric and a tote bag to dye on the night.

Participants are also welcome to bring along an additional light coloured piece of fabric along with them on the night if they wish to do some more experimenting!
