Basket weaving is an age old tradition spanning many generations and cultures. Weaving baskets is a creative, calming, social and addictive craft! We’ll be incorporating traditional coil weaving practices with modern materials to create our own unique pieces.

This workshop is for anyone interested in learning basketry skills, whether you are new to basketry or have some prior experience. In this workshop you’ll learn how to weave with a range of new, found and recycled fibres and materials including Madagascan raffia, plastic bags, wool, cotton, rope, patterned fabric and more!
