Leather worker and wallet maker Chris Rose will walk you through, step by step, how to make a strong, functional and life lasting kangaroo leather wallet.
By the end of the course, you will have in your pocket your very own kangaroo leather wallet. In your brain, however, a wealth of new information shall reside. Learn the difference between vegetable, chrome, and alum tanned leather. Learn it’s history, functions, and the tools required to shape, mold, bind, and tear it. Chris will show you the difference between ‘Full-grain’ and ‘genuine’ leather and why you should always ask questions!

Using this new information you will construct, with your own hands, a completely hand-made-no-machines-used kangaroo leather wallet to last until you see fit to count it among the possessions passed down through your last will and testament.
You will walk away from this work-shop with a sound understanding of the basics of leather working.

You can use what you have learned to engage in a variety of projects. From watch straps, to belts, to aprons, to bags, briefcases, satchels, and phone cases. What you learn in this work-shop will serve you well, as will the wallet, for years to come.

All materials will be supplied, so prepare your self for a fun and practical work-shop!
