Linocut Printmaking

Master the Lino cut printmaking technique to print your own images on beautiful Japanese papers. Once learned, this versatile and accessible technique can be applied to the creation of artist’s books, textile design, poster design and limited edition prints.

This class will cover carving out your image from a Silk Cut plate, line work and cutting techniques, safety, correct inking of a plate and hand printing on Japanese papers. You will also be advised on how to hand colour your prints and introduce textures into your work.

You will take home a striking set of your own prints, your lino plate, full instructions and resource sheets and the ability to print at home using this technique!
