Run by the lovely teacher and communicator Marianne Horton, Learn to Knit is designed for someone who has never picked up a pair of knitting needles in their life.
In this class you will learn how to cast on and cast off, the knit stitch and how to join a new ball of yarn.
We will talk about all things yarn, needle sizes, common abbreviations, simple pattern reading, and stitch counting.
This unrushed class is designed for those who have never knitted before or have not knitted in a long time and need a “refresher” course.

what to bring
All material and equipment will be provided, although feel free to bring along any yarn and needles you already have. Light – med coloured smooth yarn, preferably not to fine, is best to learn on.
A simple set of needles and yarn may be purchased on the day for around $10.
