In this fun workshop to be held these school holidays at Work-Shop Makery, Mindy would like to teach your child aged 8 and up how to sew. We will be making tote bags, great for shopping, library book carrying and weekend activities!

Mindy will be very happy to guide and inspire each child’s own ideas, or they can use the templates and sample ideas provided.

This is a beginners class – so if any Mum’s and Dads are keen to learn to sew too, you would be most welcome to join by also booking a place.

What you'll get

We will cover basic hand and machine stitches and sewing safety, plus how to correctly pin and cut projects.

You will learn to sew corners and curved shapes to appliqué your bag front (with pre cut shaped felt/ fabric pieces). Then we shall sew up front to back, finish the seam raw edges and secure the straps. Piece of cake kids.
