Mik Shida is an internationally renowned artist whose roots lie deep within the Melbourne street art scene. Known for his ethereal, expressive and psychedelic style, Shida’s art continues to evolve in various forms including large-scale murals, sculpture, video work and installation.

In this exclusive Melbourne workshop, join Shida for an in-depth look into his creative process; with a strong focus on experimental mark-making and large scale murals using a DIY approach.

Guiding you through his multidisciplinary process, Shida will talk you through his tools of the trade, showing you how you to make your own DIY brushes and mark-making tools.

Learn to create expressive brushstrokes  through drawn out body movements and develop new skills and techniques which can be applied when creating large scale artworks. Let loose on the Work-Shop walls and practice working on a large scale and collaborating with your peers.

Shida will share his insights on travelling the world and making a living through art, as well as the various themes and inspiration behind his work. Wrapping up the day with a discussion/ Q&A, there will plenty of time for questions.

All art materials provided, plus everyone who attends will receive a limited edition Shida zine.
