In this full-day oil painting workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of painting with oils. We’ll start with covering the basic materials required, including what tools and mediums you need and how to use them safely before moving on to prepping our canvas.

Working with oil paints, you’ll learn about “alla prima” & wet on wet painting, brush techniques, how to see value and tone over colour, how to mix and blend paint, as well as simple techniques to achieve a realistic painting.

This class will take you step-by-step through the planning and execution of painting a black and white skull painting. You’ll pick up skills and techniques, as well as your very own painting to take home. Enter as an amateur and leave as an artiste.
